HEIRLOOM

This collection is named the 'Heirloom' collection as it is inspired by the existence of a cultural mix in Indonesia, especially the cultural mix between batik and the Chinese culture. Heirloom itself has the meaning of a successor. Because the Batik this collection is using were all made by batik-making Chinese that has run the business for generations. And it is also inspired by the motif of a Chinese porcelain. The motifs are well-known as 'Batik Peranakan'. The shape were mostly A-shape, with most hem were handkerchief and asymmetrical. This collection inspired mostly from the collection of Comme des Garcons Fall 2009, especially the tulle wrapping, and Biyan Seruni Spring 2014.
